Sadaya Foundation
The Sadaya Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit organisation committed to enriching holistic primary education in the Korku tribal region of Vidarbha. Our primary goal is to support low-income and tribal communities in improving their quality of life. The organisation strives to enhance primary education by fostering enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences, addressing language barriers, enhancing infrastructure, raising community awareness, and providing nutritious meals for the children.
Our Journey
The Sadaya Foundation's incredible journey is a testament to the passion and dedication of Mr. Pradeep David, the Founder-Director, who devoted 33 years of his life to transforming rural Maharashtra. His eye-opening experience with the Kolam tribal communities revealed a stark truth: the community's most educated individual had only reached 9th grade. This realisation ignited a mission to break the barriers to education that were holding back these communities.
Mr. David and his family courageously took in 22 children from the community, giving them access to education in an English medium school. Their unwavering commitment paid off as these once-deprived children flourished into engineers, teachers, social entrepreneurs, and IT professionals when given the chance to thrive.
Fueled by his determination to empower the tribal community, Mr. David established schools in the most remote corners of Maharashtra and inaugurated two hostels to support the educational journey of the children. This amazing journey culminated in the creation of the Sadaya Rural Upgrowth Foundation, a living testament to the enduring impact of compassion and education in transforming lives and communities.
The Sadaya Rural Upgrowth Foundation was officially registered on May 10, 2023. It demonstrates the enduring impact of compassion and education in transforming lives and communities.
Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for low-income and marginalised tribal communities by providing access to education, healthcare, life skills, technology, agriculture, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our Objectives:

Boost Essential Skills: Enhance listening, speaking, reading, writing,comprehension, and life skills for children in grades 1 to 5.

Upgrade School Facilities: Renovate and improve essential infrastructure in schools for a better learning environment.

Support Healthy Growth: Provide nutritional supplements to children aged 6-12 to enhance growth, improve learning outcomes, and promote overall health.
Mr. Premdaya Kasdekar, Co-founder and CEO, completed his Master's degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He is one of the children of the Founder Director and hails from the Korku tribal community. He has a vision: "Whatever he has received, he needs to give back to his tribal community for development and transformation."
